Privacy policy

Forge Lead Systems ("we", "us") is a web design and digital marketing business based at Lodge House, Cow Lane, Burnley BB11 1NN, UK. This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why, and what your rights are. We are the data controller for the purposes of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What we collect

• Enquiry and audit forms: your name, email address, website address and anything you write in a message.
• Phone, WhatsApp and email: whatever you choose to share when you contact us.
• Analytics: we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used. It records pages viewed, approximate location (city level), device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. IP addresses are anonymised by Google before storage. This only runs if you accept analytics cookies.

Why we use it

• To reply to your enquiry or send you the site audit you asked for (legitimate interest and, where you ask us to do something, steps prior to a contract).
• To improve the site and understand which marketing works (consent, via the cookie banner).
• To keep records we need for accounting and legal reasons (legal obligation).

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision making.

Who we share it with

Form submissions are handled by Netlify (our hosting provider) and delivered to our email. Analytics data is processed by Google. Both act as processors under contracts that meet UK GDPR requirements. Google may transfer data outside the UK under the UK International Data Transfer Addendum. We do not share your data with anyone else unless the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Enquiries we don't take forward are deleted within 12 months. Client records are kept for six years after the work ends, for tax purposes. Analytics data is retained for 14 months.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, object to our use of it, or ask for a copy in a portable format. Email george@forgeleadsystems.co.uk and we'll respond within one month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
